At My Professional Organizer, our kitchen organization services start around $795, with most of our clients spending between $795 and $1,590 to get help organizing their kitchen.
Every kitchen organizing project is different. Some of our clients want help with their entire kitchen, including all of their cabinets, drawers, kitchen island, and pantry. Others may only need help organizing specific cabinets or drawers, their kitchen counters, or a few problem areas.
Because every kitchen and every project is different, the cost will ultimately depend on what you want help with and how much of your kitchen you’d like us to organize.
What’s Included in the Cost of Kitchen Organization Services?

When you hire our team to professionally organize your kitchen, you’re getting much more than someone simply putting things away neatly.
We handle the physical work, help make decisions about where everything should go, and bring the supplies needed to complete the project.
Depending on what you need help with, your kitchen organization service can include:
Decluttering your kitchen: We can help you go through your kitchen and decide what you want to keep, donate, or get rid of.
Emptying and cleaning cabinets and drawers: We take items out, wipe down and clean the empty drawers, cabinets, and shelves, and then put everything back neatly and organized.
Customized organizing systems: We figure out where items should go based on how you and your family actually use your kitchen.
Donation drop-off: If you declutter kitchen items you no longer want or need, we can take those items to a local donation center for you.
Pantry organization: If you’d like help with your pantry as well, we can declutter and organize it as part of the project.
Checking expiration dates: We can help check expiration dates on food, medicine, and other items stored in your kitchen or pantry.
Organizing product recommendations: If products would help improve the space, we can recommend options based on your kitchen and storage needs.
Organizing and cleaning supplies: Our professional organizers bring supplies such as cleaning wipes, paper towels, trash bags, Ziploc bags, and boxes for decluttering, so we don’t have to use yours.
All of the physical organizing work: We handle taking things out, putting them back, lifting, reaching, bending down, using step ladders, and getting into those awkward cabinets that somehow require minor gymnastics to reach.
Figuring out where everything should go: We also handle much of the mental work involved in organizing a kitchen, including categorizing your belongings and determining where items should be stored so the kitchen is easier to use.
Our goal isn’t just to make your kitchen look organized when we leave. We want to create a system that makes sense for how you cook, prepare meals, put groceries away, and use your kitchen every day.
What Can Make Kitchen Organization Services Cost More?

The cost of professionally organizing a kitchen can vary quite a bit depending on your kitchen and exactly what you want help with. Some kitchens may only need organizing, while others may need several hours of decluttering before the organizing process even begins.
Here are some of the biggest factors that can make a kitchen organization project take longer and cost more:
Decluttering Before Organizing
If you want help decluttering your kitchen, we’ll help you go through your cabinets, drawers, and other areas and decide what you’d like to keep, toss, or donate before we organize everything.
Depending on the size of your kitchen and how many items you have, this could add an hour, two hours, or potentially more to the project. Since we’re spending additional time helping you go through your belongings before we even begin organizing them, it can make the overall project longer and increase the cost.
That doesn’t mean a little decluttering is automatically going to change the price. If you only want help going through one or two cabinets, for example, that may not add much time at all. It’s when we’re helping you declutter a larger portion of the kitchen that it can turn into a bigger project.
Adding Pantry Organization
We can organize just your kitchen, or we can organize your kitchen and pantry together.
Adding a pantry typically makes it a larger project because there’s quite a bit involved. We take everything out, check expiration dates, wipe down and clean the pantry, categorize everything, and then put it all back neatly and organized.
If you have a large pantry or a lot of food and other items stored inside, this can add a significant amount of time to the project.

How Disorganized Your Kitchen Is
Generally, the more disorganized a kitchen is, the longer it will take to organize.
A kitchen that already has some organization in place may simply need everything cleaned up, categorized, and put into a better system. A kitchen where items are spread throughout different cabinets and drawers with no real system may require considerably more time to sort through and reorganize.
How Many Items You Have
Two kitchens that are exactly the same size can take completely different amounts of time to organize.
If you have a lot of dishes, cookware, appliances, food, utensils, containers, medicine, and other items stored throughout your kitchen, there is simply more for us to take out, sort through, categorize, and put back.
The more items we’re working with, the longer the project will typically take.
Checking Expiration Dates
If you’d like us to check expiration dates on food, medicine, and other items while we’re organizing your kitchen or pantry, we can do that too.
Going through individual items and checking dates adds additional time, particularly in a pantry or kitchen with a lot of food and medicine.
Adding Organizing Products
Organizing products aren’t required to professionally organize your kitchen, but some clients want to add bins, containers, drawer organizers, labels, or other products to their space.
If you’d like help incorporating organizing products, this can add to both the cost of the products themselves and the amount of time needed to plan, measure, purchase, label, and set everything up.

How Much Should You Expect to Spend Organizing Your Kitchen?

Ultimately, there isn’t one price that applies to every kitchen organization project. Everyone has a different kitchen, layout, amount of belongings, and idea of exactly what they want help with.
For most of our clients, professional kitchen organization typically costs between $795 and $1,590.
Where your project falls within that range will depend on how much help you need. Organizing a kitchen that’s already been decluttered may be a smaller project, while decluttering and organizing a large kitchen and pantry with a lot of belongings will naturally require more time.
We can also help if you’re moving. In addition to decluttering and organizing your existing kitchen, our team can help pack your kitchen before a move or unpack and organize your kitchen after you’ve moved into a new home.
Packing and unpacking projects may cost around the same amount or slightly more depending on the project, since there’s additional work involved with packing or unpacking boxes, putting boxes together, breaking them down, and organizing everything along the way.
