Before we start packing, our organizers can work alongside you to go through closets, cabinets, storage areas, bedrooms, kitchens, garages, and other areas of your home.
We’ll help you sort through your belongings and decide what you want to keep, donate, or toss. We can also take donations to a local donation center at the end of your session.
Organizing Packing Before Your Move
Our professional organizers don’t just put everything into boxes; we organize as we pack to make the entire moving process easier.
We’ll sort similar items together, pack belongings by room and category, and clearly label boxes so you know what’s inside and where it belongs in your new home.
We can pack kitchens, pantries, bedrooms, closets, home offices, bathrooms, playrooms, storage areas, and more. If we come across items that belong somewhere else in the home, we’ll make sure they’re packed with the right category instead of simply packing whatever happens to be in front of us.
Unpacking & Organizing After Your Move
Once you’ve moved into your new home, we can come back and help you get unpacked and get organized.
We’ll unpack boxes, put belongings away, organize cabinets and drawers, set up closets, organize your kitchen and pantry, and help get the different areas of your home ready to use.

How much do move management services cost?
At My Professional Organizer, move management services start around $795, with most of our clients spending between $795 and $4,000–$5,000 depending on how much help they need.
Every move is different. Some clients want us to help with the entire process, including decluttering, organized packing, unpacking, and setting up their new home. Others may handle some of the work themselves and hire us for just one or two parts of the move.
Your budget also plays a role. We can recommend different session options based on how much you’d like us to handle and what you’d like to spend.
Generally, the more of the moving process you’d like our team to take care of, the higher the total cost will be.
What’s not included in your move management services?
- Moving company coordination: We don’t find, hire, schedule, or coordinate with moving companies on your behalf.
- Transportation: We don’t transport boxes or belongings to your new home or provide loading or unloading services.
- Move-out cleaning: We’re professional organizers, not a cleaning company, so we don’t provide move-out or deep cleaning services.
- Furniture moving or assembly: We don’t move heavy furniture or disassemble and reassemble furniture.
- Handyman services: We don’t hang pictures, install shelving, mount TVs, or provide other handyman services.

Moving almost always takes more time than expected, especially once you start going through everything in your home. Many people don’t realize how much they have until they start decluttering and packing.
Giving yourself plenty of time can make the entire process much easier and help you avoid trying to get everything done right before your move.
Our schedule can also fill up quickly, and availability changes daily, so the sooner you know your move-in and move-out dates, the better. We recommend getting your sessions on our calendar as early as possible.
