3 Marketing Secrets Every Professional Organizer Needs to Know

What if I told you that a few minor tweaks in your marketing approach could make the difference between a booked-out calendar and an empty one?

In this post, I reveal three simple, underrated, and, most importantly, effective marketing secrets you can implement today.

Secret #1: Reframe Your Copy to Focus on the Client

A common mistake I see is making your copy all about yourself: ‘We offer’, ‘I provide’, ‘Our services include’.

It is important to let a reader know what you provide, but what truly resonates with potential clients is how you can solve their specific problems.

Reframing your copy to focus on the client can make a big difference on your website, ads, Facebook and Instagram posts, and other marketing materials.

Here’s how to do it using a more benefit-driven approach:

Before:We help clients create functional and beautiful living spaces.”

After:Enjoy a home that’s both beautifully organized and perfectly tailored to your style.”

Before:Our organizers work efficiently to declutter your home.”

After:Watch your home become clutter-free and more organized, making everyday life smoother and more enjoyable.”

Before:Our services organizing, decluttering, and downsizing.”

After:Experience the ease of an organized home, the clarity of a decluttered space, and the simplicity of downsizing with services tailored to your needs.”

Shifting from self-focused statements to client-focused benefits makes it easier for potential clients to see themselves experiencing the transformation you offer.

Secret #2: Use Call to Actions (CTAs) Correctly

CTAs are like gentle nudges that guide your potential clients toward taking action. Without them, even a beautifully designed website can leave visitors wondering, “What now?”

These come in the form of buttons, forms, links, and more.

I often see organizers use too few of them or don’t use them in the most important places on their website.

When someone loads your website, it’s important to offer a way for visitors to contact you immediately.

It’s good practice and increases website visitors into new leads.

Generally, website visitor’s eyes gravitate to two places.

The top right corner.

Small, simple changes like increasing call to actions can improve website conversions and boost leads on your website.

Secret #3: Use Keywords Strategically

When it comes to SEO for professional organizers, I find that the 80/20 Rule rings true.

20% of my actions produce 80% of my results.

Secret #3 is putting your target keyword in the most important sections on your website.

A simple way to help your website rank better in search results is to use your target keyword—like “professional organizer [your city]“—in the right places on your website.

Focus on these areas:

  • Heading 1 (H1): This is the main heading on your page and tells search engines and readers what your page is about. Make sure your keyword is included here naturally to show that your page is relevant.

  • Title Tag and Meta Description: The title tag is what people see as the clickable link in search results, and the meta description is the brief summary below it. Including your keyword in both helps search engines and users understand what your page is about and encourages people to click through to your site, not competitors.

But remember, only one page on your website should target one specific keyword or variations of it. This way, you avoid confusing search engines and ensure they know which page to rank.

By placing your keywords in these spots on your website, you can improve your chances of showing up higher in search results and attracting the right clients.
